Frequently Asked Questions
SAO Cartridges are a patent-protected innovation that extend the usable shelf life of ozone as an approved cleaner.
The difference between SAO-24 and SAO-4 is based on ozone shelf life and capacity.

The SAO-24 cartridge produces SAO that lasts up to 24 hours as an approved disinfectant* and 6 days as a cleaning solution with a 3,000-liter capacity.

The SAO-4 cartridge produces SAO that lasts up to 4 hours as an approved disinfectant* and 3 days as a cleaning solution with a 5,000-liter capacity.

*Claims may vary based on region. Refer to your local regulatory authority for locally approved claims.
For large facilities with demanding and frequent cleaning needs, SAO-24 is recommended for its longer-lasting performance. For everyday, periodic cleaning, SAO-4 may be appropriate. Both cartridges perform the same when used within the manufacturer’s recommended time guidelines.
Unlike many standard spray bottles, SAO bottles are engineered specifically for SAO compatibility. Using non-approved containers can reduce ORP performance and shorten SAO effectiveness.
An ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential) meter measures the oxidizing power of a solution in millivolts (mV), indicating the effectiveness of SAO in real-time. Higher ORP values generally indicate stronger oxidizing potential.
• Turn on the meter using the power button.
• Select mV mode using the function button.
• Immerse the probe fully into the SAO solution.
• Gently swirl for consistent readings.
• Read the displayed ORP value.
Several factors can impact readings, including:

• Container material (plastic compatibility matters)
• Chemical residue in bottles or probes
• Temperature of water
SAO test strips are simple visual indicators used to identify the presence of ozone in the solution. The strips react when exposed to oxidizing agents in SAO. A color change occurs that corresponds to approximate concentration levels.
• Dip a strip briefly into the SAO solution
• Remove and allow it to develop for the recommended time
• Compare the color change to the reference chart provided on the bottle
Test strips provide a quick visual indication, while ORP meters give precise numerical readings. Both are used together for operational validation and routine checks.
The lotus Water Treatment System comes with housing for the Prefilter and Scale Filter. The housing is required and keeps the filters contained and connected to the system while allowing for easy replacement.
Yes – tersano’s lotus WTS Filter Kits are designed to simplify maintenance by containing all annual replacement filters required for the complete system setup. The Filter Kit contains:

• Carbon Filter x2
• Sediment Filter x1
• Prefilter x1
• Scale Filter x1
The lotus Water Treatment System is designed with radio frequency identification (RFID) tags that measure the lifetime, quality, and performance of your filters in real time. Use the iClean Dashboard to track your filter life and get instant notifications on filter replacement needs. For optimal performance and long-term system protection, replace your filters once per year as per the manufacturer’s guidelines.
In order to operate, the lotus Water Treatment System requires exactly:

• 2x Carbon Filters
• 1x Sediment Filters
• Prefilter: Recommended for water conditions with heavy and visible sand, silt, or rust. The Prefilter acts as the first line of defense to protect and prolong the lifespan of the Sediment Filter, Carbon Filter, and Control Center.
• Scale Filter: Recommended for hard water conditions and setups connected to ice machines. The Scale Filter actively restructures minerals—such as calcium and magnesium—to prevent buildup, safeguarding your equipment and water quality.
• The Carbon Filter is critical to supporting high quality output water. It improves water safety and taste by filtering out impurities like chemicals, chlorine, industrial solvents, and more.
• This Sediment Filter conditions the feed water to meet the requirements of tersano's proprietary AMP™ Technology, supporting consistent ozone generation, optimal system performance, and long-term reliability.
The main difference is capacity and usage frequency.

• 150 mL (Regular Reservoir): Compact size, ideal for lighter or more frequent refills and portable use.
• 350 mL (Large Reservoir): Holds more water for longer cleaning sessions with fewer refills, making it better for extended or high-volume use.

Both reservoirs function the same way and are fully compatible with the iClean mini.
The PROscrub Spray Bottle is a durable 500 mL secondary bottle designed specifically for use with PROscrub Ready-to-Dispense solution. It provides a convenient way to dispense solution for everyday cleaning tasks.
Yes. PROscrub can be used with most standard spray bottles. For best results, use a clean, chemical-free bottle and apply a PROscrub Secondary Label to ensure proper product identification.
PROscrub Secondary Labels are pre-printed labels designed for secondary spray bottles filled from larger PROscrub containers. They help identify the product, support workplace safety, and promote consistent labeling practices.
The main difference is the PROscrub container size they are designed to accommodate.

• Portable Dispenser: Designed for use with 1-gallon PROscrub containers.
• Wall Mounted Dispenser: Designed for use with 5 or 55-gallon PROscrub containers.
Both dispense accurately diluted PROscrub for consistent cleaning performance.
Choose the dispenser that matches your PROscrub container size:

• Portable Dispenser for 1-gallon containers.
• Wall Mounted Dispenser for 5 or 55-Gallon containers.
PROscrub Dispensers automatically dilute concentrate to the correct ratio, helping improve dosing accuracy, reduce product waste, and deliver consistent cleaning performance with every use
